When an entrepreneur decides to launch a new business they will perform a SWOT analysis to determine the feasibility of the new venture. The “SWOT Analysis” is a strategic planning method used to evaluate the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats of a new business.

At Wealthcare Financial Group, Inc. we use the SWOT method when considering potential strengths, such as current income, or significant investment assets. We will take into consideration a weakness, like an insufficient retirement savings or a high debt to income ratio. Whereas, potential opportunities might include receiving an inheritance, obtaining a significant increase in income, accepting a severance package or identifying a potentially beneficial tax reduction strategy such as Net Unrealized Appreciation (NUA), with respect to employer stock that you may own.

Finally, our firm works very hard at helping our clients to eliminate threats to their values, dreams and goals by making careful and suitable financial recommendations, only after we have a clear understanding of what your needs are. In other words, we don’t show up with the intent to sell you on some company-sponsored “proprietary product”.

The first order of business is to schedule an initial appointment with a member of our team and to determine whether your objectives are attainable, given the SWOTs. If we determine that your objectives are NOT attainable a different objective must be selected and the process repeated. Incorporating the SWOT analysis in our initial client meetings provide meaningful answers about wealth and maximizes the usefulness of our evaluation and its long term value for our client’s lives and wealth-care-financial needs.
